So, why am I going on the World Race? Funny you should ask. I had never heard of the world race up until 2020 of last year. I worked at a small coffee shop with only like 8-10 employees and honestly, I didn’t get out much so my job was my only outlet. Churches were closed and I was still newer to the area and didn’t know hardly anyone other than my coworkers. People came and left the job all the time that was nothing new but God knew if He was going to get through to me, He was going to have to bring people into my VERY SMALL circle. So, that is what he did. My job Hired someone that I thought was pretty awesome and then we got to talking and he told me about this new adventure in his life that he was pursuing, and this was the first time I had heard of the world Race.

I was still in the mindset that “Oh, hey that is great for you and I’ll pray for you on this journey” never once thinking that I would one day sign up to do it for myself. God had me work with this World racer a lot so I got to see that it was the real deal. I thought to myself that “Hey, that would be something cool to do one day.” And I continued on with my life just working at this coffee shop. Then my friend left the job and launched for his World Race adventure. Then next thing I know is my job hires another World Racer who had no connections with the first one. I was like “What in the world! I just learned about this what a coincidence…..” I grew up in church I know that there are not just coincidences like that. But I am stubborn so I still didn’t get the hint that God was showing me. Well, I got to know this World Racer and I began to see a pattern that I really get along with people that are doing this and have a lot of respect for them. She talked me into looking it up and just seeing what it is about. Both World Racers spoke into my life and told me what I needed to hear. I started praying about it and I told God if this was something I should do I wanted to meet one more World Racer. I did not want to miss God but, I still just wanted to make sure.

You won’t believe what happened, here came another World Racer. Now mind you I do not work for a Christian company and I am not involved with any churches these people are coming on their own. Okay, Lord, I see what you are doing. I have always loved to travel and meet new people, I have been involved with different missions before, and this has always been something that I wanted to do. To me, there is nothing purer than watching someone give their life to the Lord and feel His love and presence. Fills my heart more than anything ever could. The timing in my life was lining up to work with this as well. The Lord got Through to me and here I am. I could not be more excited to see what the Lord does and so thankful that he was patient with me to get me to this point.
